Eat your way to a healthy glow!

You know the old saying, "you are what you eat"? Well I'm here to tell you that it is 100% true.

If you want good skin, you must feed your body the right building blocks and tools to be able to create it.

So, if you are on the quest to improve the look and feel of your skin, here are four absolutely essential foods that should be incorporated into your diet every single day.

1. Bitter greens stimulate bile flow and promote liver health to support the elimination of toxins. Include bitter leafy greens such as rocket and other members of the cruciferous family such as kale, bok choy, radish and broccoli into your meals daily.

2. Healthy fats such as organic cold pressed olive oil, nuts (brazil nuts, walnuts and pumpkin seeds), avocado, chia seeds, flaxseed and wild caught fatty fish (salmon and sardines) are anti inflammatory to promote healing, healthy hormone function and reduce skin dryness.

3. Proteins are building blocks required for healthy skin structure. Good sources include organic free range pastured eggs, quinoa, fatty fish, beans and legumes, organic meats and nuts + seeds (including hemp seeds).

4. Berries such as strawberries, blueberries and raspberries are rich in vitamin C, a water soluble antioxidant that helps skin healing, structure and collagen formation. Because the body does not make vitamin C, it needs to be obtained by the diet. Berries are often heavily contaminated with pesticides - save money, keep your berries fresh and avoid the chemicals by choosing organic frozen berries.
